Yomikiru

Yomikiru is a program that will allow you to read comics, manga and electronic books comfortably from your PC. It supports a range of image formats, including JPG, PNG, WEBP, SVG, APNG, GIF, PDF and AVIF. In addition to this, it also supports ZIP, CBZ, 7Z and RAR formats, from which you can directly access each page of a comic or manga. That said, the author of the app himself recommends organising content in folders instead of compressed files for better performance.

A reader, not a downloader

The first thing to understand about using Yomikiru is that the program won't allow you to download any content; it will simply allow you to read any manga, manhwa, webtoon or comic that you have downloaded to your hard drive. You can read all the content you like offline. But if you're looking to download manga, you'll have to use other apps, such as Hakuneko or something similar.

Tons of customization options

By default, Yomikiru comes with a dark theme and a set of default keyboard shortcuts. However, from the Settings, you can choose between five different themes (three dark and two light) and you're even free to create your own visual themes. Similarly, the program has over 30 keyboard shortcuts, which you can change and customize as you wish. You decide how you want to use the app.

A simple and practical interface

One strength of Yomikiru is its ease of use. As soon as you open the app, you'll see three columns: one on the left with the directories your content is stored in; one in the center with the bookmarks you have created; and one on the right with the manga or comics you have started. This allows you to quickly access your favorite series or half-read comics.
